Janet Nicol is from Toronto, Canada where she has practiced yoga for nearly 20 years. Blending her studies in Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, and Restorative, she draws on these styles to offer students unique classes weaving together the best of each tradition. Janet’s emphasis in private and small group classes is to support each student in developing a safe yoga practice that is fine-tuned to their level. With this in mind, each student will receive hands-on adjustments, appropriate pose modifications and personalized suggestions of a practice they take away with them.

James Newman discovered yoga in 1996 during his previous incarnation as an investor and mountain sports enthusiast. His mental and physical changes were so profound that he devoted his life to the study and teaching of yoga- studying personally under some of the great surviving Indian teachers. He has studied extensively (over 400hrs) with Srivatsa Ramaswami - Krishnamacharya's personal student for 30 years - and is one of only a few dozenteachers worldwide certified by Ramaswami to teach the Vinyasa Krama method.

James is also a graduate of the asanasequencing/adaptation program at KYM - the Krishnamacharya family yoga school. James combines his knowledge of yoga technique with his work as a Level 5 CranioSacral therapist to create a balanced and practical approach to yoga teaching. He is currently based in Bali, Indonesia.

James passion for teaching springs from the joyful results he sees in students' lives. Yoga is both an ancient tradition and an answer to the challenges of today's hectic lifestyles.

James' goal as a teacher? To help students experience the health and bliss that come from using these techniques today.
