
When her yoga journey began, it was like a piece of the puzzle was found. Yoga inspires Kristin in her everyday life, bringing her much joy and perspective. Kristin is RYT200 by Yoga Alliance, with teacher training from GaiaTreeYoga. She has taught yoga for many years, national and international, group and private classes, workshops and retreats.
She has explored different yoga styles, like Anusara, Iyengar, Vinyasa and Hatha, though always embracing the Ashtanga Vinyasa system as dedicated in self-practice and teachings. Her teaching style is focused on each student’s needs, alignment, the breath and the practice of being in contact with the different aspects of oneself and one’s surroundings. Kristin has studied under many great teachers, and guiding lights on her path are Lea Lalitha and Katiza Satya, to whom she is deeply grateful.
Kristin is Clinical Psychologist, and applies mindfulness techniques in treatment. Kristin works in psychiatry and healthcare, and has also worked with organizational psychology, group processes and facilitation for several years. In 2008 Wessel Paternotte and Kristin opened Delightyoga Studio in Amsterdam (Netherlands) and are currently opening a second yoga center in Bodø (Norway)

For ten years, Marije worked as a lawyer serving big corporations and wealthy individuals, both in The Netherlands and in Curaçao. Though she enjoyed the challenges and rewards of the work, she also felt the accompanying stress. It was during this time that she discoved the benefits of yoga and a window to a new way of life was opened. A way that would bring her joy and peace of mind.
With 7 years of yoga experience, Marije is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, trained at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Massachusetts and is registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT200).
Additionaly, Marije studied for two years at School of Life in Amsterdam; an integral training for consciousness, healing and reading. Through this program, she learned healing and reading skills, as well as conscious communication.Marije wishes to share the benefits of yoga with other people. She sincerely believes that if everybody on this planet practiced yoga, the world would be at peace. Marije wants to make a contribution to make that happen.
