Jan lives and infuses her life with the devotion of yoga and wellbeing, creativity and love. After more than 20 years of practice, Jan is a inspirational and passionate yogini that captures the essence of yoga and translates the awareness of breath and movement into a powerful healing experience.
Jan runs her own Yoga Centre in Bathurst, the pranayoga centre. She leads Yoga and Wellness retreats in Bali and Thailand, as well as Yoga and Trekking Retreats in India and Nepal. She also teaches at a private Mental Health and Wellness Sanctuary, focusing through yoga and meditation on the treatments of emotional and mental disorders and management of lifestyle factors that contribute to stress, sleep disorder, chronic pain, heart disease, diabetes and obesity.
Jan teaches a Vinyasa style yoga, moving fluidly in and between postures and using yogic breathing to relax and support the merging of the body, mind and spirit. Jan has a reputation for deepening even the most advanced practices. She does it with a sense of humour balanced with a quest for authenicity. What is most surprising is her ability to tap into a soft heart and vulnerable spaces to access these wonderful poses. Her unique ability to draw out that bright and shining light from within every student, no matter what level of yoga experience, based on that we come from love and return to love - yoga is the bridge in between.
