Light does not exist without dark and life is an interplay between supposed opposites; to feel wholeness, we need to invite and compassionately meet all aspects of self.

Through the practice of yoga and mindfulness we will bring awareness to our physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. Noticing our habitual thoughts, patterns and stories and working through these helps us to reveal and reconnect with our truest, whole and most authentic self.

10:30 Workshop 1 –Mindfulness – a daily practice
In this workshop we will explore what mindfulness is and how we can implement simple and effective techniques into our daily lives. Cultivating the ability to bring non-judgmental attention to the present moment will harness a greater sense of ease as well as the ability to lean into, and work through the challenges that are a normal part of our lives. Through journaling, meditation, skilful listening techniques and insights in to our habitual patterns and behaviours, we will learn to bring awareness to the here and now. This workshop will leave you fully prepared for the day of silence to follow.

Spa treatment of the day or free time
Deep Tissue Massage – 1 hour 15 minutes 
Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic massage designed to loosen muscles, increase blood flow and relieve stress. Your therapist will skilfully use her elbows and fingers to penetrate all layers of tissue, and slow, long strokes to stimulate and revive deep muscle tissue. This therapy breaks down rigid muscle tissue and helps to relieve pain and restore movement.

10:00 Workshop 2 – Creative Circles

Mandalas, meaning circles in Sankrit,have long been used as tools for meditation and are seen as a sacred symbols by many traditions. These beautiful concentric designs can symbolize the circle of life, day and night, light and dark, yin and yang – ever moving round and round and never-ending.

We find mandalas abundantly in nature; throw a pebble in to a still lake and observe the ripple or cut open a kiwi fruit to reveal the intricate design.

Jung described making mandalasas a form of visual journaling and this will be our intention for this creative workshop. Tuning into and trusting our inner wisdom, we will tap into our innate creativity as we intuitively paint our own beautiful mandala.

By absorbing yourself in this practice you will move in to a meditative state noticing a sense of calmness, clarity and focus.

Oneworld’s holistic retreat lies in the hills of Ubud, Bali – about 1.5 km away from the hustle and bustle of the village center. The eco-friendly retreat is peaceful and serene, bordered by a small creek to the west and surrounded by jungle and rice fields. And it is probably the only retreat centre in the world with a Palace in its backyard!

We offer 14 comfortable and spacious rooms, two swimming pools, dining room, a yoga shala open to nature as well as a spa where you can enjoy high quality treatments. You will find lush gardens and pavilions to relax and indulge in the beautiful views. Should you wish to explore Ubud during free time, we offer shuttle bus service.

Yoga Nidra or Yoga Sleep is a somewhat similar to guided meditation and is a practice that allows deep and profound conscious relaxation. We often equate relaxing with listening to music, watching TV or walking in nature, which whilst enjoyable does not balance our energies in quite the same way as practising Yoga Nidra.

By using the body, breath and mind as a focus of awareness, we begin to shift our brain wave frequencies to an extended Alpha state. This is not sleeping (Delta waves) or dreaming (Theta), but the space of awareness in between wakefulness and dreaming/sleeping. These are the brain waves of true relaxation that not only refreshes and replenishes us, but creates space for creativity to arise.

After practising Yoga Nidra, we feel a deep sense of calm and peace and are more readily prepared for our tasks ahead.


Part of your journey is enjoying the luxury of our skilled therapists’ massage treatments. All your meals are included and most of them are eaten together with the group in the beautiful jungle dining room but sometimes are also served in the privacy of your own balcony or at an outside location.
