This unique retreat includes both group yoga classes, a private one-on-one yoga session and a 'mysore' style group practice. The aim of this retreat is to assist you in developing a personalized yoga practice for a home self-practice. You will also be given specific modifications for your body so that you can attend a variety of group classes and intelligently and safely join in, regardless of the yoga style.
In group yoga classes we sometimes find ourselves practicing asana, yoga styles, sequences and breathing exercises that are not always best suited to own health needs, stress levels or personal growth goals. Combining group and private classes with workshops, this retreat will give you the skills to practice intelligent yoga poses with possible modifications during group led classes, and more importantly you will develop the tools to support your self-practice, perhaps making you less dependent on attending classes in order to do yoga.
Janet and James bring together 30 years of combined studies in Vini, Ashtanga, Therapeutic, Iyengar, Anusara, Vinyasa, Restorative and Hatha yoga we will draw on our collective knowledge of these traditions to create a number of sequences distinct for you.
Due to the individualized nature of this retreat we are able to facilitate new or advanced students interested in any of the above yoga styles mentioned.
