Invigorate your body, stimulate your mind and open your heart in Bali!
This 6 day retreat is co-taught by an expat resident Janet Nicol and our local in-house yoga and Balinese meditation instructor, Wayan. Blending together the true essence of a yogic lifestyle, this retreat will include daily Hatha Flow and Restorative yoga classes, guided meditations based on local practices, self-care spa treatments, silent reflective time, and delicious meals with an emphasis on raw food and fresh local juice.
Additionally, we will visit a local Balinese healer and a local orphanage. This retreat is open to all levels of yoga experience, yet ideally you have already some experience in yoga.

Janet Nicol, Yoga Instructor and retreat leader
Janet is originally from Canada and has practiced and studied a variety of yoga, meditation and pranayama for over 20 years. Blending her studies in Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, and Restorative, she draws on these styles to offer students unique classes weaving together the best of each tradition. Read more about Janet.
Wayan Parta, Meditation and Chanting Instructor
Wayan is a lover of yoga and of kirtan. Over the past couple of years, Wayan has been the assistant and student of many retreat leaders at Kumara. He doesn't miss an opportunity to go deeper in his practice. Wayan is a certified yoga teacher after completing the Yoga Arts teacher training in 2010. Read more about Wayan.

The ten bedroom holistic retreat is located 1.5 km from the heart of Ubud in Bali. Bordered to the west by a small creek, the eco-friendly retreat is surrounded by jungle and rice fields. The retreat centre offers 2 swimming pools, dining room, Spa and a 100 sq. meter yoga studio open to nature.
Each room is air conditioned, has its own terrace with garden, mini-bar, bathtub and shower. Comfortable yet unpretentious.
For our guests' ultimate serenity, everyone above the age of 14 is welcome at the retreat.
THE PRACTICE
Blending her studies in Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, and Restorative, Janet draws on these styles to offer students unique classes weaving together the best of each tradition. Janet’s emphasis is to support each student in developing a safe yoga practice that is fine-tuned to their level. With this in mind, each student will receive hands-on adjustments, appropriate pose modifications and personalized suggestions of a practice they take away with them.
This retreat offers Vinyasa Yoga in the mornings and Restorative Yoga in the evening, and there is time to further your knowledge and experience with meditation and chanting during these sessions.
The retreat is open for all levels of experience, yet ideally you have already some experience in yoga.
THE MEALS
Healthy, organic meals are provided, which are prepared by our well trained chefs. All dietary requirements are catered for.
SPA
Part of your journey is enjoying the luxury of our skilled therapist’s treatments. Inclusive in this retreat package is a Herbal Massage or a facial and a famous Ayurvedic Chakra Dhara Massage. Other treatments are available onsite. You may wish to view our spa menu.

Day 1 - Sunday
Transfer to Kumara in Ubud, from the airport or anywhere in South Bali
Welcome drink and visit of the resort
Settle into your accommodation and relax by the pool.

Day 2 - Monday
06.30: Morning Yoga Practic

Day 3 - Tuesday
Experiencing a Day in Silence
Today is a day for contemplation and to concentrate on your inner self. Silence helps one to reach a different level of consciousness and a better understanding of the self. The results are usually very enlightening and can be amazing.

Meditation session at Gunung Kawi followed by hike in rice fields.

16:00-18:00 Afternoon yoga practice (2 hrs)
Evening is a free time to explore one of many restaurants in Ubud.
