Nyepi Retreat

With Rachel Roberts & Mer Hogan

Join international yoga and meditation teachers Rachel Roberts and Meredith Hogan for this amazing offering on the island of gods, Bali, Indonesia. This retreat takes place over Nyepi, the Balinese New Year. This auspicious day is celebrated on March 12, 2013, and is observed as a day of silent reflection for the entire island. Three million people sitting in stillness, silence and reflection for an entire day - it is one of the most powerfully restorative events you could ever experience and we invite you to join us for this beautiful tradition.

This will be Mer’s third and Rachel’s seventh retreat at Kumara Sakti and when asked why they return every year Rachel said “Kumara’s staffs and management ensure that all of our students are relieved of the duties of decision making the very moment they are picked up at the airport. They anticipate the needs of the students and retreat leaders with such amazing promptness that no one is ever longing. The location, the food, the therapists are all unrivaled. Simply put, Kumara is the perfect setting for a week where yogis can truly unplug, restore and relax. I have never found its equal and as long as they will have me... I will always return!”

The Nyepi Retreat features daily meditations, Ashtanga/Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga practices led by two inspiring master teachers. We will honor the tradition of Nyepi with a day of Mauna - silent reflection. Retreat participants will experience healing temple ceremonies, bathe in the warm waters off of Nusa Lembongan and in the holy water springs in the island’s center. Rice terrace walks and farm to table meals will ensure that you see and taste the best of Bali. Spa treatments offer the ultimate in restoration for the mind and spirit. Luxurious accommodations and the attentive staff will provide everything you could need to relax completely.

This is not just a vacation, it is a week of restoration, renewal and reawakening that will gift you tools to use in your daily life so that the balance and harmony you find in Bali can be yours everyday.

All levels of yogis are invited to join.
