2. UBUD WRITERS AND READERS FESTIVAL
23-27 October 2019. Kicking off in 2004, this popular festival is now celebrated among literary circles from all over the world. It has effectively put Ubud on the literary map as writers from Indonesia and abroad gather to connect on this world stage in the heart of Ubud. Experience five days of workshops, book launches, special events, kitchen programs, music and art performances. Our sister company bridges Bali has been a Festival partner since 2011, welcoming inspiring writers to sold-out special events since then.
Bringing a TED-like experience to Bali. Although not technically a festival, we feel that TedxUbud should be included in Ubud’s events calendar. Indonesia is home to extraordinary ideas and amazing people and TEDxUbud is dedicated to showcasing this brilliance and turning these great ideas into action. Founded in 2011, this event is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through a TED-like experience at the local level. Experience a full day of talks and performances led by change-makers, innovators, and social pioneers.
