Three Questions for Vivienne O’Brien

Why yoga?

For me yoga is ‘complete’ system or experience and is constantly challenging me. It encourages me to be creative, it develops my intuition, and is a bridge to exploring my mind.   One of the main reasons I choose yoga is for the sheer exhilaration and  pleasure I get from the practice.

How do you come back to inner peace?

I think ‘coming back’ to inner peace may only be achieved after looking at what is blocking inner peace. Inner peace is like the fruit that results from addressing our issues, facing rather than avoiding our reality. I feel we arrive at inner peace through the practice of yoga and in doing so we are able to glimpse the possibilities of how a fulfilled life can be led.
