It was the most peaceful, powerful, playful and patient week of my life. It gave myself more mental structure, grew in my strength and skill of yoga and empowered my self to let go literally of negatives that had been affecting me. The instructors are unlike any people I have met, enjoyed, skillful and unique in their teaching to build the students minds and bodies. I will truly remember this once in a lifetime experience. I am returning home a newer, better form of myself, and I will continue to not only practice yoga but practice my mind in meditation as well.

I booked this retreat with high hopes of an oasis away from my hectic life in NYC and it far exceeded my expectations. The staffs were the friendliest, our retreat leader, Iyan was so joyful, uplifting and informative. The group was small enough to get to know everyone. And the food should win some kind of delicious health award. No photo can capture the absolute beauty at every turn inside the grounds. There are great, rice paddy views from the terrace (your own balcony), so much greenery and Hindu statues galore. Not to mention the spa is outstanding – one of the best I’ve even been to. In one word? Nourishing. Claude, Iyan, Wayan and were knowledgeable, respectful, gracious. The spa treatments and the staff member were a highlight, as was the yoga, the food, the sacred springs, sunrise yoga overlooking mount Batur. What an experience! This trip was a surprise for my mum and a chance for us to spend some time together since we live in different countries. It could not have been more perfect. The yoga was excellent and perfect paced for both beginner and more advanced yogis. Spa treatments were so relaxing especially the Chakra dara massage, but what really sets retreat apart is the attention to every tiny detail of your experience so that it truly feels like magic.
