Wendy is from Australia, and was first drawn to yoga at the age of 27 when she was pregnant with her first baby.
From her initial contact with yoga, she soon discovered the enormous benefits of being able to create balance and harmony in her busy life with a young family. She is a qualified nurse and midwife. In 2011 she attended an unforgettable yoga retreat at Kumara Sakti, and it literally changed her life. She completed her Diploma of Yoga studies 500 hours at VIYETT, qualified in pre-natal Yoga teaching in Byron Bay Australia and became a Registered member of Yoga Australia. She then opened her own studio on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, teaching regular yoga and meditation classes, and has since facilitated many retreats in Bali and Hepburn Springs Australia. She brings her wealth of experience of nurturing people from many walks of life through her nursing into her teaching of traditional Hatha yoga and meditation. Her wonderful yoga community also helps her support a charity in Bali, the birth centre Bumi Sehat located close to Ubud. She holds regular fundraisers to support the clinic, and has developed a deep love and friendship for the Bumi Sehat family over the past six years. She is so honoured to be returning to Oneworld Retreats, this time as a retreat leader. Her deepest desire is to help others experience the life-changing impact that yoga has had on her own life.
