Ever been to beautiful Portugal? When Claude and Iyan first visited in 2017, they soon fell in love with its people, the pristine nature and the food and wine scene. It was clear that Portugal was the perfect location for a Oneworld retreat.

Martine and Wayan then agreed to participate in the creation of the upcoming week-long journey in southern Portugal. The retreat centre is on a farm in the Alentejo region, best known for its long stretches of untouched coastline, charming white-washed and dark blue villages and long walking trails with breath-taking vistas at every turn. The centre is not directly on the coast, yet it is located in a secluded and picturesque environment minutes away from the beach by car.

In this environment, Martine will teach yoga and meditation classes daily and offer interesting workshops, Wayan will lead private balance yoga classes on the centre’s very own lake and give relaxing massages or bodhyphosis treatments while Claude will share his method to set the path for your own dreams.

Join us and live authentic Portuguese experiences such as local food fresh from the farm’s garden, taste renowned local wines and cheese, swim in the unspoiled fresh-water lake or escape on a bicycle and enjoy a few days discovering famous vistas and caves along the coastline in including a day in the Algarve. Or set-off, ride a horse on infinite beaches, kayak in the bay or even try surfing if you wish.

Martine Bounet is a certified yoga teacher. Born and raised in Bordeaux, France, she also lived a long time in London, UK. Here she was able to combine the two big passions in her life, yoga and wine, and to attain great command of both. She greatly enjoys sharing her passions and combines them in her daily life – practicing and teaching yoga and meditation as well as acting in diverse roles in the wine business. General Information

The retreat will begin on Saturday, 14 September. Participants will meet at a central point in Lisbon at 10:00, location will be announced, group transportation to and from the retreat centre is inclusive. A Life Of Balance – In Portugal will end on the morning of Saturday, 21 September.


The Place

The retreat center is located two hours south of Lisbon and it is part of a 275 acre mini farm, with its own freshwater lake, small animals and vegetable garden and fruit orchards. The exquisite space is a few kilometers from the breathtaking Atlantic coast in the Alentejo region known for its long stretches of untouched coastline.


Body treatments

Besides treating your body and mind with daily yoga, part of your journey is to enjoy an inclusive choice of Bodhypnosis treatment OR a Relaxing massage from our hand-skilled therapist Wayan Partawan, you can also enjoy Thai massage (not inclusive)


Meals

We believe that a nourishing meal and a delicious feast don’t need to be exclusive of one another. The food served is local, with most of produce coming from its own property and nearby farms. From a sustainability standpoint, red meat or pork are not served during the retreat. Food are mostly whole-food vegetarian, aside, also served local cheeses, eggs from the own-farming chicken and occasionally wild-caught Atlantic fish. A typical breakfast includes ​eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola, honey, jam, slow-rise bread,and a daily tonic​. Lunch is often a bowl; a base of ancient grains like farro, topped with avocado, roasted veggies, nori, or mixed greens. For dinner, expect Indian and Japanese curries, Mediterranean stews, legumes, rice, salad, and dessert.


Room

The charming locations offers a limited amount of elegant rooms, each opens to an outdoor courtyard. Each room has two twin beds that can be arranged in king size beds for couples or for singles. Plenty of indoor + outdoor space to chill, read a book, or have an intimate conversation.


Yoga

The yoga is Hatha and combines the precision of Iyengar with the dynamism of Ashtanga. Participants will be introduced to Pranayama, Asanas, relaxation techniques and yogic activities.

Through meditation and yoga, people from around the world and all levels of society have reached incredible results in balancing the body, mind and spirit. Yoga and meditation are ways to help become more focus and provide a platform for one’s own inner peace and well-being especially when faced with life challenges.
